Atlantic Superstore and Sobeys have made announcements online that they have reduced their hours.
Superstores will now be open from 7am – 8pm. They said this is so staff can ensure the store is properly stocked and sanitized for their customers. This will also allow their staff to get a well deserved break. They are asking customers to check with their local store about Sunday’s hours.
The first hour of business will continue to be dedicated to seniors and those needing more assistance.
Sobeys will be cutting hours from 8am – 8pm at stores across the nation so they can sanitize stores and restock shelves. Sobeys employees are also washing their hands every fifteen minutes. They have added extra resources to the frontline, enabling cashiers to wipe down common areas even more often.
Superstore earlier this week announced that they would remove fees from their online service PC Express which allows customers to order online and pick up in the parking lot. They have also reduced the price of home delivery.
