The Municipality of the County of Annapolis has issued a tender for the demolition of what remains of the former Upper Clements Park.
The amusement park opened in 1989 with attractions such as a log flume ride, wooden roller coaster and bumper boats.
In the tender the Municipality says that as an alternative to demolition an option is for rides and attractions to be salvaged, removed for the site and sold. This could be an opportunity for the backyard roller coaster enthusiast to repurpose a piece of Nova Scotia amusement park history.
A private boarding school is supposed to be built on the grounds of what was Upper Clements Park.
Tenders for demolition must be submitted by December 6.
