Nova Scotia’s highly anticipated summer festival is set to make a big return to the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts from August 2 to August 7, 2023. The Buskers Festival organizers are thrilled to announce a series of captivating performances by international talents, enhanced stages, and a range of exciting new additions that promise to deliver a unique and unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors.
Building on the success of previous years, the festival is expanding its footprint with the introduction of the Seaport Busker Performance Stage this summer. Located at the southern end of the boardwalk near Halifax Seaport Farmers Market, Pier 21, and Garrison Brewery, this stage will serve as a hub of entertainment, offering hourly shows, the Glow Party Family Fun Zone, and a delectable array of food trucks to satisfy every craving.
The Halifax waterfront will come alive with three action-filled busker performance stages, creating a vibrant atmosphere around the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Sackville Landing (home of Halifax’s infamous Wave), and Foundation Wharf. These stages will be accompanied by a variety of food and craft vendors, offering an opportunity for attendees to explore a diverse range of local delights.
Last year’s successful expansion to Dartmouth will be repeated in 2023, providing festival-goers with even more entertainment options. Alderney Landing will once again host two performance stages, vendors, and the East Coast Amusements midway.
The most important part of the festival is the lineup international and local acts. The stages will feature performers such as Surprise Effect from France, the mesmerizing magician Billy Kidd from the United Kingdom, Canada’s own Mighty Mike, the captivating Satya Bella from Australia, and the talented World Stage Dancers from the United States. Joining them will be Her Majesty’s Secret Circus from the USA, Famos Bramwells from the United Kingdom, magician Patrick Drake from Canada, the skilled YoYo Guy John Higby from the USA, Julia Perron from Canada, Scott Jackson from Canada, and Austria’s own Flow Berger. And of course, the festival’s perennial favorite, Silver Elvis, will be back to delight the audience with their unforgettable performance. Additionally, there are still more acts to be announced.
