Public Health Will No Longer Issue Potential COVID-19 Exposure Notices

Public Health says it has changed its approach to managing the significant increase in COVID-19 activity across the province.

They say most Nova Scotians who are positive for COVID-19 will identify and contact their close contacts. As a result, Public Health no longer has the necessary information to report accurate exposure sites and locations. They will no longer be issuing exposure notifications.

Nova Scotia Health stresses that the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is widespread in the province with high risk of transmission everywhere.

Continue to follow public health measures when visiting public locations. Wear a three-layer properly fitted mask. Stay six feet away from others. Wash your hands often and follow gathering limits. If you feel unwell, stay home and book a COVID-19 test.
