
Canada just ranked second last in health care performance among high-income countries in a report by The Commonwealth Fund. Their mission is to promote high-performing health care systems that achieve better access, improved quality, and greater efficiency for society’s most vulnerable.
The only country to rank lower than Canada of the 11 countries mentioned was The United States. Even though it was the only country mentioned below Canada, it scored considerably lower.
The report pointed out that income-related inequalities are very prevalent in Canada and we ranked close with The United States on this factor.
