Nova Scotia’s International high-speed ferry service between Yarmouth and Bar Harbour Maine is scheduled to resume in Spring 2022.

The 2020 and 2021 operating seasons for the ferry service were suspended because of the pandemic. Before the pandemic, the ferry hadn’t sailed since 2018 because the Bar Harbour terminal was under construction.

“As with air service, restarting an international ferry route requires substantial upfront investment which is impossible to recover in a very short season.” said Bay Ferries on their website.

Fully vaccinated Americans can now travel to Canada as our country has lifted cross-border travel restrictions, but The United States has yet to allow for Canadians to cross the border.
