The Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia has released a strict set of guidelines for Cosmetologists to follow. It includes a few procedures that can’t happen initially.
They don’t set or provide a date when they will be offered.
High risk services will be restricted in the beginning stages include:
- facials
- facial hair removal by waxing
- sugaring and threading,
- lashes, make-up,
- beard/mustache services
- microdermabrasion
- extractions
- lash and brow tinting
- microneedling,
- dermaplaning
- chemical peels
- enzymes and manual scrubs
Walk-in appointments also can’t happen. You will have to book in advance and make an appointment. No more than 10 people will be allowed in an establishment at once during the early stages. This includes staff and clients.
