Two Adults, Four Children Dead After Travel Trailer Fire In Cumberland County

Cumberland County RCMP are being supported by the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office in an investigation of a fatal travel trailer fire that occurred on Mountain Road in Millvale.

According to RCMP, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Sunday, they responded to a possible fatal fire on Mountain Road where they located six people dead in a travel trailer. The RCMP say the fire is not suspicious at this time.

RCMP Forensic Identification Services held the scene overnight and the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office and the Nova Scotia Fire Marshal’s Office will all be attending this morning to continue the investigation.

A 30-year old man, a 28-year old woman, and four children, aged 3, 4, 8 and 11 years old are deceased and all were from Amherst.

Cumberland County District RCMP are leading the investigation and is being supported by the Northeast Nova Major Crime Unit.

RCMP say further information will be released as it becomes available.
