If you’re doing home renovations and in the market for flooring there’s a new company in Halifax you need to be aware of.
Home’s Pro Building Materials started in Edmonton in 2018. In three years, the company expanded to Calgary, Vancouver, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg. In January of 2022, they opened a Halifax location at 65 John Savage Ave (Unit #6) in Burnside.
Their displays are in flooring stores all over the Maritimes and expanding to Newfoundland soon. However, they were not able to get into flooring stores in Halifax.
Home’s Pro Building Materials worked very hard to get into flooring stores and set up displays in Halifax but were rejected by most, some saying they would fail. Instead of leaving Halifax, the flooring distributor has opened their own 20,000 sq. foot warehouse and showroom.
“Because we’re a distributor, no one can touch our prices.” said Danny Carew, Sales Representative for Home’s Pro Building Materials. “In a time where everything is expensive, we offer the best priced flooring in HRM.”
The company brings in over 1,000 containers a year and specializes in luxury vinyl plank, water-resistant laminate and glue-down flooring.
Home’s Pro Building Materials offers a loyalty rebate program to all construction, contractors and property management companies.
“In a time where the housing market is absolutely insane, we will be able to provide the best priced products, backed with the best customer service experience.” says Carew.
Each flooring series they sell is named after a city. One series available since 2018 is named Moscow. Home’s Pro Building Materials will be donating 10 cents for every sq foot sold of Moscow to Unicef Canada until the end of April, which more than likely be extended until the war is over.
Danny Carew and Home’s Pro Building Materials wants to help build Nova Scotia and Atlantic Canada. Home’s Pro Building Materials is very flexible. Customers can pay for their orders and have them held for up to 30 days. If you leave unsure of colour, you can take a couple of days to decide on the right one and they will have it ready when you arrive for pick up.
