The Top 10 Stolen Vehicles In Nova Scotia Are Mainly Trucks – Is Your Ride On The List?

Is your vehicle a target for theft? The Insurance Bureau of Canada has released the top 10 stolen vehicles in Nova Scotia and it’s mainly trucks and one specific Honda Civic.

Every year, automobile thefts cost Canadians almost $1 billion. This includes $542 million for insurers to fix or replace stolen vehicles, $250 million in police, health care and court system costs and millions more for correctional services.

The Insurance Bureau of Canada says stolen vehicles can be loaded on ships and sold abroad. They’re also sold to unsuspecting customers after their VIN number has been changed. Thefts also happen for joyriding and to commit other crimes.
