The forest fire near Havre Boucher, Antigonish County is about 148 hectares in size and is still considered out of control. As of Tuesday at 2:45pm it’s 70% contained.
An incident command centre has been established. Thirty-one volunteer fire personnel and a crew of 22 from Lands & Forestry is on scene. A Lands & Forestry helicopter is also fighting the fire.
Crews are currently working on hot spots and there has been no increase in size since the last report.
