Phone Lines Open To Make An Appointment To See A Doctor Or NP In Halifax This Week

This week in Halifax, you can have mild or moderate health concerns addressed by a doctor or nurse practitioner when you make an appointment at the mobile primary clinic coming to town..

These are not drop-in clinics. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-410-6672. The number of appointments each day is limited and lines will remain open until appointments are full.

The clinic will be popping up at 2751 Gladstone Street in Halifax on Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30 from 10 AM until 6 PM. The clinic will return on Thursday April 6.

Types of concerns that may be addressed at the mobile primary care clinic include:
• Prescription refills or renewals (except for controlled substances)
• Minor respiratory symptoms
• Sore throat
• Earaches
• Fever
• Headache
• Rashes
• Minor gastrointestinal concerns (vomiting and diarrhea)
• Cough, flu, or cold symptoms
• Urinary tract infections
• Muscle pain

Lab or diagnostic imaging requisitions will not be part of the mobile service.

Nova Scotia Health says the clinic is not a substitute for your primary care provider. The clinics are an option when there are times you are unable to see your primary care provider or do not have one.
