The name Mattea Roach is no stranger to living rooms across Nova Scotia. Plenty of fans tuned-in to watch the Halifax native with deep Cape Breton roots win 23 consecutive Jeopardy games earlier this year.
Winning just five games would have put her in Jeopardy’s Tournament of Champions, but her impressive accomplishment has bought her an automatic bye into the the semi-finals.
The Quarterfinals will see 18 former Jeopardy champions face off over six games. The winners of those games will move onto the semi-finals where they will play either Amy Schneider (40 game champ), Matt Amodio (38 game champ) or Mattea Roach (23 game champ).
The Tournament begins to air on CBS in Nova Scotia beginning Monday, October 31. Mattea Roach will not make her appearance until the second week of the tournament.
