Expect the record setting to continue as the price of gas will continue to rise tonight when new prices are set at midnight.
The price of regular self-serve gasoline in Halifax is currently set at a record high minimum of 156.5 cents per litre and as always is a little higher outside of the city. Diesel is currently set at a minimum of 166.5 cents per litre.
Gas up 10.1 cents/litre – Diesel Up 17.2 cents/litre
Tonight when the clock strikes midnight the price of regular self-serve gasoline will climb 10.1 cents and be 166.6 cents per litre for regular self-serve. The price for self-serve diesel will be 183.7 cents per litre, a climb of 17.2 cents per litre.
The farther you get from Halifax, the more expensive it will be.
