Wind Gusts May Reach 110 KM/H + This Friday – Then Be Followed By A Flash Freeze

Another storm is incoming for Nova Scotia that is forecast to bring rain and strong winds. Temperatures will begin to climb on Thursday and by Friday most will see double digits.

Environment Canada has issued Special Weather Statements ahead of this weather event (DETAILS)

Showers are forecast to begin on Thursday and become steady rain with 25-50mm possible.

The dangerous portion of the storm will be the southwesterly winds. Wind gusts reaching 90-110km/h and possibly higher are forecast along the Atlantic and Fundy coasts.

Temperatures are forecast to fall rapidly on Friday to well below freezing. Wet surfaces from the rain we mentioned will flash freeze and travel may become dangerous.
