COVID-19 Outbreak Declared At Yarmouth Regional Hospital

Nova Scotia Health says it has declared a COVID-19 outbreak on at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. As a result, patients on 3 East are restricted to one support person during this time.

At this time, fewer than ten patients have been affected. Infection control measures have been implemented and other inpatients, staff, and physicians are being tested.

The Health Authority says additional measures are underway, including contact tracing and enhanced cleaning practices. All other patients, staff, and visitors identified as close contacts will also be tested.
