A Homecoming For Two Canadian Navy Ships And Their Crews Will Happen In Halifax This Week

Two of Canada’s Navy Frigates will return to their homeport of Halifax, NS marking the reunion of almost 500 crew with their families.

HMCS Montreal and HMCS Halifax’s homecoming will be at 9am on Friday, July 15, 2022 at the Halifax Dockyard.

The ships are returning from Operation Reassurance in support of NATO and deterrence measures in European waters. When the ships left, Russia’s war in Ukraine was new and the crews were prepared for anything.

Also returning home are the crews and support personnel for two CH-148 Cyclone helicopters that were embedded with the Canadian ships.
