Cape Breton’s Queen of Song, Rita MacNeil will be honoured by Symphony Nova Scotia with a free concert at Dalhousie’s Rebecca Cohn in Halifax on October 23, 2021.
After multiple sold-out concerts in 2014 and 2017, this compact one hour show will feature Lucy MacNeil of the Barra MacNeils and some of Rita’s most loved music. Expect to hear songs such as Flying on Your Own, Working Man, Home I’ll Be, and many more.
