Winter is going out like a lion in Nova Scotia. Don’t fear, tomorrow is the first day of Spring and it’s going to be the first day in a stretch of amazing weather.
Get ready for the possibility of spring flowers blooming and buds appearing on trees. We’re in store for an enjoyable weekend in most areas. The forecast is calling for temperatures to reach 10 in some areas on Tuesday and Wednesday we could see some temperatures even higher.
The best part is, there’s sun and more sun from Saturday through Wednesday. Get out the sunglasses and if you didn’t have time to clean up the yard in the fall, this week is looking good for yard work.

First we have to get through today’s snowstorm. Snowfall warnings were extended overnight. They now include
– Colchester County – Truro and south
– Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
They had already included:
– Antigonish County
– Guysborough County
– Halifax County – east of Porters Lake
– Inverness County – Mabou and north
– Inverness County – south of Mabou
– Pictou County
– Richmond County
– Sydney Metro and Cape Breton County
– Victoria County.

Today is a good day to stick inside if you’re in Central or Eastern Nova Scotia. Snow, at times heavy, will end this afternoon. The highest accumulations will be over eastern areas of the province.
