There are potential COVID-19 exposures to be aware of in Sydney, Halifax, Bedford and one correction to be aware of Antigonish.

COVID PRECAUTION NOTIFICATION (there has been a potential exposure of minimal risk to the public)

If you were present at the following locations on the named dates and times, you are required to follow the instructions in this table below for a COVID-19 Precaution Notification based on your vaccination status.

  • Swiss Chalet (482 Grand Lake Rd., Sydney) on October 28 between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, November 11.
  • Novalea Farmers’ Market Cooperative (3540 Novalea Dr., Halifax) on October 30 between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, November 13.
  • Tim Hortons (117 Kearney Lake Rd., Halifax) on
    • October 30 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
    • October 31 between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, November 14.

  • Basin Café & Bistro – Bedford Basin Farmers Market (397 Bedford Hwy., Bedford) on October 31 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, November 14.

COVID EXPOSURE NOTIFICATION (the public has had close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19)

If you were in the following location on the named date and times, you are required to follow the instructions in the table below.

  • *CORRECTION* Charles V. Keating Centre – “Main Arena” only (1100 Convocation Boulevard, Antigonish) on October 30 between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. It is anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus at this location on the named date may develop symptoms up to, and including, November 13.

For those for whom testing is recommended or required, please book your COVID-19 test at https://covid-self-assessment.novascotia.ca/en or call 811 if you don’t have online access, or if you have other symptoms that concern you. When booking your test online, please select the reason for testing as: I was at one of the exposure sites at the date and time identified in a recent Public Health public service announcement or letter where testing was recommended. Please get tested at a COVID-19 testing centre or public health mobile unit; do not go to a pop-up rapid testing location.
