Nova Scotia’s Premier Won’t Commit To A Date For The Atlantic Bubble, Despite Reports Of One In July

Premier Stephen McNeil has released a statement on the Atlantic bubble. He is not committing to a date that it will happen, but rather says the easing of restrictions will be based on science.

“Over the next few weeks, we need to monitor COVID-19 cases to ensure they stay low and we have little to no community spread. If we continue to flatten the curve, our first priority is to ease restrictions in our own province, including expanding the family bubble.” said Premier McNeil

“Nova Scotia is open to an Atlantic bubble, but we cannot put a date on it until we are sure our case numbers are low and the cases in other provinces remain low.”

Anyone can visit Nova Scotia currently, but they must self-isolate upon arrival for 14 days even if they are showing no symptoms.
