Nova Scotia Woman Is Jeopardy! Champion After Nailing Final Question – Game #2 Is Wednesday, Fingers Crossed

Mattea Roach of Halifax, N.S started her appearance on Jeopardy! strong jumping out of the gate answering her first two questions correctly.

After the first commercial break, Mattea performed well, picking up six correct answers to take a $2,400 lead.

Camron, the returning champion struggled through each round. The game turned into a huge battle between Nova Scotia’s Mattea Roach the other contestant Kathleen Snider.

There was even a shout out to Nova Scotia in the game! “Nova Scotia Duck Tolling is one breed of this sporting dog for whom “fetch!” should be instinctual.” “What is Retriever? I can’t get that wrong, it’s my home province.” was Mattea’s response.

Going into final Jeopardy! Mattea lead with $18,000, Kathleen had $16,000.

When it came to the final question, Mattea correctly answered and bet a whopping $14,001 to come out on top with a one day winning total of $32,001.

After winning she happily exclaimed her student loan was paid off!
