New attention has been brought to the case of missing Truro, Nova Scotia boy Dylan Ehler who vanished in May 2020. The only belongings found at the time were a pair of boots in a brook behind his grandmother’s house.
Speculation grew across Nova Scotia yesterday that a boy found on Thursday in Cincinnati, Ohio was Dylan because they looked very similar.
A non-verbal child was found walking on the side of a highway in a township of Cincinnati. He was wearing a soaking wet sweatsuit and gym shoes in freezing weather according to the man who found him.
Since the discovery of the boy, the Colerain Township Police Department who had been in contact with Nova Scotia officials have identified the boy found walking alone. It is not Dylan Ehler.
Dylan’s father, Jason Ehler posted to YouTube Saturday morning asking for people to pray for the boy found in Ohio.
“I wanted to let everyone know, that the Ohio Police Department and the Truro Police Department came together with the hospital in Ohio and social services in Ohio and we’ve all come to the conclusion with medical reasons that it’s impossible that this child is Dylan.” said Ehler.
In the video, Jason Ehler was dressed for a search and preparing to head out with a group meeting on Elizabeth Street in Truro to look for Dylan.
