Dr. Strang – “I’ll Be Blunt. They’re Putting All Of Us At Risk… Stop Being Selfish.”

While much of Canada is seeing a surge in COVID-19, Nova Scotia has relatively low case numbers. Today, November 3, the province is reporting one new case in the Northern Zone. It is under investigation by Public Health.

“There is nothing at this time that points to general community spread in Nova Scotia,” said Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Strang,

“Despite what is going on around us, I want to assure people in terms of COVID-19, Nova Scotia is still very safe right now.”

Dr. Robert Strang, Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer says that the next few weeks are critically important. What we do right now will have a direct impact on what we can do this holiday season.

For our collective health and well-being, Strang says for Nova Scotian’s to use their common sense.

To the people in the province not following guidelines. Dr. Strang said he wanted to be blunt. “They’re putting all of us at risk, so stop being selfish.”

Strang says we need everyone committed. “If our plan is going to work in Nova Scotia, we need everyone to be on board, not half of us, not three quarters of us,” said Dr. Strang.

“Requirements are here for a very important reason.”
