No new cases of COVID-19 were identified Monday, June 15 in Nova Scotia. The province has only two active cases and both of those are admitted to hospital.
“Today marks our seventh day in a row with no new cases of COVID-19. Each and every Nova Scotian has made sacrifices to get us to this place,” said Premier Stephen McNeil.
“And while we can all be pleased with our progress, it’s vital we remain vigilant. Please continue to follow all guidelines and do everything you can to keep our province safe.”
It is still very important that citizens adhere to public health orders like practicing good hand washing and other hygiene steps, maintain a physical distance of two metres or six feet from those not in your household or family household bubble and limit planned gatherings of people outside your household or family household bubble to no more than 10.
If you have traveled outside of Nova Scotia you must self-isolate for 14 days. As always, if you develop symptoms of acute respiratory illness, you should limit contact with others until feeling better.
Nova Scotia has experienced it’s share of loss and grief during the pandemic with 62 deaths and 1,061 positive cases of COVID-19.
