Costco Now Allows Healthcare Workers and First Responders To Skip The Line

In an announcement on their Facebook page and website, Costco says they are now letting healthcare workers and first responders skip the line and have priority access to their warehouses.

Their message on costco.ca states, “Costco is temporarily allowing priority access to our warehouses for Costco members who are healthcare workers and first responders such as police officers, EMTs and firefighters. Healthcare workers and first responders who present a Costco membership card and official identification of their role, will be allowed to move to the front of any line to enter the warehouse.”

Visitors to Costco in Halifax’s Bayer’s Lake were recently criticized by Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert Strang, for not practicing social distancing. A photo of the line up went viral in Nova Scotia showing crowds of people in the line.
