This will be the last update on this forest fire.
The forest fire near Havre Boucher, Antigonish County was about 148 hectares in size and is now under control. As of Tuesday at 5:45pm it’s 75% contained.
An incident command centre had been established and at the peak thirty-one volunteer fire personnel and a crew of 22 from Lands & Forestry were on scene. A Lands & Forestry helicopter was also fighting the fire.
Crews are currently working on hot spots and there has been no increase in size since the last report.
