American Media, Celebrities, Point To Nova Scotia Mass Shooting As How Other Countries Take Action

American media outlets such as the Washington Post and The New Yorker Magazine have specifically referenced the mass shooting in Nova Scotia when looking at how other countries have responded after such events.

Nineteen children and two teachers were killed in a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday, officials have said.

The shooter remained at the school “approximately an hour” before tactical teams arrived and killed him.

The New Yorker Magazine took to social media and posted that after the 2020 mass shooting in Nova Scotia, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau enacted legislation banning many assault style weapons, including the AR-15.

“You don’t need an AR-15 to bring down a deer,” Trudeau said at the time.

The Washington Post shared a similar post. American celebrities including Jennifer Aniston shared the post mentioning the Canadian Government reaction to the Nova Scotia mass shooting and Viola Davis shared The New Yorker’s post.
