The QEII Health Sciences Centre Is Overcrowded And You Could Wait A Long Time – Not Expected To Clear Up Soon

Nova Scotia Health says the QEII Health Sciences Centre is experiencing serious overcapacity issues. They note that this issue could result in long waits for patients in the Halifax Infirmary emergency department.

It isn’t expected to clear up soon. Nova Scotia Health says the conditions are likely to continue through the long weekend.

They remind those who may need to visit the emergency department that they should not hesitate to visit the QEII if experiencing an emergency. Anyone with urgent medical needs should call 911.
