These Homeless Nova Scotia Kitties Have Their Own Shelter And Are Streamed Live Online 24/7

Not every cat has the luxury of living in a home with heat and a loving owner to take care of them.

Over a number of years a feral cat colony formed in downtown New Glasgow, NS. The kitties lived in a rundown abandoned building that has since been demolished. The demolition left the kitties homeless. That is when MacGillivray Law stepped in and created the MacGillivray Law Riverfront Cat Sanctuary.

It’s a tiny home, only 20′ x 10′ in size that is surrounded by a protective fence and outfitted with sleeping ledges, scratching posts and outdoor play structures.

Watch The Kitties Live

MacGillvary Law had a contest for kids across Atlantic Canada that had cash prizes awarded for the best cat art. The artwork now hangs in the cat shelter and can be viewed on the live kitty cam.

The MacGillivray Law Riverfront Cat Sanctuary is in partnership with Feral Cats – New Glasgow, a group of dedicated volunteers who take care of the cats, including feeding and neutering them. Without the efforts of these volunteers, the cat sanctuary would not be possible.

You can tune into the cat sanctuary anytime online and look at all the kitties! Bubble’s from the Trailer Park Boys is even a fan! He took the time to judge the winning cat art.
