Potential COVID-19 Exposure On Another Flight To Sydney – In Addition To Those Announced Yesterday

Today, Monday, December 7, Nova Scotia Health Public Health is advising of potential exposure to COVID-19 on an Air Canada flight from Toronto to Sydney. This is in addition to those flights reported yesterday.

Anyone who was on Air Canada flight 8210, December 4, departing Toronto at 8:49pm and arriving in Sydney at 11:55pm in rows 16 to 20, should book a COVID-19 test regardless of whether or not they have symptoms. 

All other passengers on the flight should monitor for symptoms.  It’s anticipated that anyone exposed to the virus on this flight may develop symptoms up to and including December 18.

Visit this website to do a self-assessment if in the past 48 hours you have had or you are currently experiencing: 

  • fever or cough (new or worsening)
  • OR
  • two or more of the following symptoms (new or worsening):
    • sore throat
    • runny nose
    • headache
    • shortness of breath

Do not go directly to a COVID-19 assessment centre without being directed to do so.
