Halifax Regional Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred tonight in Dartmouth.
Police say they responded at approximately 7:27 p.m.to a report of an injured person at the East Coast Amusement fair located at 214 Main Street in Dartmouth. Officers found an 18-year-old male suffering from what they believed to be life-threatening stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
The investigation is in the early stages and more information will be provided when available.
Caledonia Road is closed to all traffic between Main Street and Roleika Drive so officers to investigate the incident.
In August 2022, the same travelling fair was forced to shut down for an evening on a visit to Dartmouth’s Alderney Landing when fighting broke out.
