Peace By Chocolate Is Donating All Proceeds Of These Bars To Earthquake Relief In Syria And Turkey

Thousands have died and tens of thousands are injured following a magnitude 7.8 earthquake that shook Syria and Turkey. The world is in shock with the images and videos of complete devastation coming out of the two countries.

Countless buildings have collapsed and millions were already relying on humanitarian assistance according to aid agencies.

Nova Scotia’s Hadhad Family, owners of Peace By Chocolate, have announced they are working hard to fundraise for the Canadian Red Cross relief effort in the region through the sale of certain chocolate bars on their website, PeaceByChocolate.ca. Their two storefronts and some retailors are participating too.

“On Monday our family awoke to news so devastating you cannot imagine.” said Peace By Chocolate CEO, Tareq Hadhad. “Our homeland again shaken and broken – its people and our Turkish neighbours killed in their homes and in their beds as the earth quaked below them.”

All proceeds from the company’s 92g Peace Bars, including their Arabic and Turkish Peace Bars are included in the promotion to help those devastated by the earthquake. The company has outlined other bars on their website that are included in the effort.
