Man Allegedly Pulled Out Knife When Someone Asked Him To Butt Out Cigarette Inside

Halifax Regional Police have charged a man after incident that occurred in Halifax last week.

According to police, at approximately 6:50PM on January 14, they responded to a weapons call at the Halifax Transit Terminal on Mumford Road.

A man had asked another man to stop smoking inside the bus terminal. That is when things went bad and the smoker allegedly produced a knife and threatened the other man. The victim was not injured and the accused left the area on foot.

Halifax Regional Police arrested the suspect in the area a short time later and seized a knife.

A 20 year old man is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges including assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace.
