Hospital Admissions Breakdown – Over 200 In Hospital Who Have Been Affected By COVID-19 (Saturday, January 15, 2022)

Nova Scotia is reporting that 58 people are admitted to hospital due to COVID-19. These 58 patients are receiving specialized care in a COVID-19 designated unit. Ten of these people are admitted to ICU.

There are two other groups of people affected by COVID-19 in hospital.

Fifty-one people were identified as positive upon arrival at hospital and were admitted for another medical reason, or were admitted for COVID-19 but no longer require specialized care.

There are 108 people who contracted COVID-19 after being admitted to hospital.

Case Update

The Province is announcing 627 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19. Yesterday, Nova Scotia Health Authority labs completed 4,124 tests.

There are 339 cases in Central Zone, 113 cases in Eastern Zone, 93 cases in Western Zone and 82 cases in Northern Zone.
