Canada Post Says April Is Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas – Expect Delays With Deliveries

Wondering where your parcel is? It may be tied up at one of Canada Post’s processing facilities. Between safety measures taken because of COVID-19 and the extreme number of parcels they’re processing, there are delays.

Canadians are isolating at home and doing a lot of online shopping according to Canada Post. They are now delivering parcels at levels only experienced during the busiest weeks of the Christmas season. On Monday they delivered 1.8 million parcels to Canadians.

Canada Post says, “We are working hard to respond in a responsible manner, putting the safety of our people, and the communities we serve, first.”

Customers across the country can expect delays with their parcel deliveries. The heavy parcel volumes, combined with safety measures implemented at processing facilities, means it’s taking longer to process mail and deliveries.
