Barrington Municipal High School Classes Cancelled Wednesday As RCMP Investigate Shooting Threat

The Tri-County Regional Centre for Education has announced that classes at Barrington Municipal High School will be cancelled tomorrow as RCMP continue their investigation into the threatened shooting at the school.

Today, January 10, 2023 at approximately 10:45am, RCMP responded to a report of a threat to the school on Oak Park Road in Barrington. Police learned a student received a message via social media from a person unknown to her. It stated there would be a shooting at the school on a future date.

“RCMP officers are currently working with school officials related to the safety of staff and students.” said Nova Scotia RCMP in a release.
