The world’s foremost authority on chimpanzees and their interactions with each other is coming to Canada. Dr. Jane Goodall will be in Halifax on May 27 for an already sold-out event at Dalhousie’s Rebecca Cohn Auditorium.
When she was a child, instead of a teddy bear, Goodall’s father gave her a stuffed chimpanzee named Jubilee. Goodall has said her love for Jubilee sparked an early love of animals,
“My mother’s friends were horrified by this toy, thinking it would frighten me and give me nightmares.” said Goodall.
Jubilee still sits on Goodall’s dresser in London.
Dr. Goodall been captivating audiences for decades with her extraordinary events, inspiring millions to make a difference for animals, people, and the environments we share. The Jane Goodall Foundation of Canada says the Halifax event will inspire, delight, and inform through personal stories from her 60+ years as a global conservation leader.
