Nova Scotia Power Activating Emergency Operations Centre Ahead Of Christmas Weekend Storm Packing A Punch

Nova Scotia Power has announced its activating their Emergency Operations Centre ahead of an incoming storm system that is expected to bring high winds and a lot of rain to Nova Scotia.

There is a chance that many could be spending Christmas Eve or even Christmas Day in the dark.

“Please know we will do everything we can to try to ensure the least amount of disruption to your holiday plans.” tweeted Nova Scotia Power.

The power company says that they’re positioning teams across the province so they can respond quickly and safely.

Environment Canada expects the storm to start affecting Nova Scotia on Friday near noon and last into Saturday morning.

Be safe and monitor the forecast. A Special Weather Statement is currently issued for all of Nova Scotia.
