Newfoundland Chocolate Company Shuts Down Nova Scotia Locations Permanently – COVID-19 To Blame

After operating for five years in Nova Scotia, The Newfoundland Chocolate Company has shut down its three operations. They were located at The Halifax Shopping Centre, Mic Mac Mall and Sunnyside Mall.

They said in a release that COVID-19 is to blame.

“Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is with great sadness today that we announce the closure of our three Nova Scotia Newfoundland Chocolate Company locations. The impact was simply too great on our family company and we are heartbroken to have to keep our doors closed in Nova Scotia,” said the company in a release.

“We want to sincerely thank you all so much for supporting local and being a part of our family for the last 12 years and the last 5 in Nova Scotia,” a Facebook post said.

Their online shop will continue to operate.
