UPDATE: Forest Fire Near Big Pond In The CBRM

This will be the last update on this story.

There was a forest fire tonight in the area of Glengarry near Big Pond in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

The worst of the fire is out and they are working on hot spots now. The Big Pond, East Bay and Coxheath Fire Departments have responded. A Lands and Forestry helicopter also responded.

Crews also responded to nearby a fire on Salmon River Road measuring about 50 feet by 50 feet.
