Premier Stephen McNeil made the announcement that the high-speed passenger ferry which connects Yarmouth to Bar Harbor, Maine in the United States will not operate this season.
This is due to the widespread outbreak of COVID-19 in The United States. Stephen McNeil has reiterated that this is about the health and safety of Nova Scotians.
The Province still has a contractual obligation to Bay Ferries it must pay.
