Premier Stephen McNeil mentioned in his daily COVID-19 update today that the opening of provincial and private campgrounds in Nova Scotia is delayed. There is no date currently set for them to open.
Reservation taking for the 2020 season at provincial campgrounds is on hold. It will be announced at a future date when reservations will open to the public.
This comes after the previous announcement for the closure of provincial parks and beaches. Entry to these areas is strictly prohibited at the moment.
Provincial trails outside of parks are open for exercise. Gathering limits and social distancing guidelines must be followed.
All Parks Canada facilities are also closed. All visitor services and motor vehicle access is suspended until further notice.
