In what has become a regular occurrence around these parts, Environment Canada has just issued another Special Weather Statement for all of Nova Scotia.
The government department says an intense winter storm is expected to develop later this week and impact the province Thursday night through Friday. As what has been the usual this winter, the storm is expected to bring a mixture of snow, ice pellets or freezing rain and strong winds to the region.

“The heaviest snow is expected across northern areas including the valley.” says the statement. “Remaining areas of the province can expect a mixture of snow, ice pellets and freezing rain. Similar storms in the past have caused hazardous driving conditions, travel delays and school closures.”
Environment Canada urges Nova Scotians to continue to monitor for updates as the storm moves closer to the region.
