VIDEO: Acadia Homecoming Spills Into Wolfville – Arrests, Ambulances & Alcohol

Acadia’s Homecoming party spread into the streets of Wolfville after a loss by the Acadia Axemen football team to Bishop’s University.

In videos and photos posted to social media, EHS and RCMP were busy around town from the afternoon into evening.

RCMP charged numerous people with offenses ranging from open alcohol and mischief. RCMP brought in resources from neighbouring communities to deal with the rowdy crowds. Arrests were made according to a CBC article.

Nova Scotia’s Health Protection Act says informal outside gatherings are limited to 50 people without distancing and masks.

Acadia’s rowdy homecoming comes on the heels of events at Dalhousie University that saw arrests and charges laid on students who attended events on Jennings Street in Halifax.
