Two Brush Fires Burning Within HRM + Burning Restrictions In Place

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency and Department of Natural Resources crews have been dispatched to Elderbank and Hubley.

The Department of Natural Resources has announced there are burning restrictions in place within Nova Scotia.

March 22: Burning is permitted after 7:00 p.m. in Colchester, Digby, Guysborough, Halifax, Hants, Shelburne, and Yarmouth.

Burning is permitted after 2:00 p.m. in other parts of the province.

Burning is only permitted after 7:00 PM in Colchester, Digby, Guysborough, Halifax, Hants, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties. All other parts of the province can burn after 2:00 PM if municipal bylaws permit.
