American movie star Ray Liotta, who stared in Goodfellas and Field Of Dreams has passed in the Dominican Republic at the age of 67.
In 1999 you may have found Liotta wandering around Lunenburg or on Crystal Crescent Beach as he was in our province filming A Rumor of Angels in which he starred with Vanessa Redgrave. Although set on the coast of Maine, it was filmed in these areas of Nova Scotia.
The movie is available for streaming on Amazon Prime in Canada and features local scenery from that beautiful area of our province.

The movie is based upon the 1918 novel Thy Son Liveth: Messages From a Soldier to His Mother. The novel tells the story of what a mother learned from her son about death after he dies on a French battlefield during World War I. The movie is set in the latter part of the 20th century.
