According to the latest survey by Narrative Research, Nova Scotians remain highly satisfied with the provincial government’s performance led by Premier Tim Houston. Two-thirds (67%, unchanged from November 2021) are satisfied.
The polling company says satisfaction levels increase with age and with household income levels. It is also higher among those with a completed post-secondary education.
Preference for Tim Houston, as well as support for the PCs, is higher among those outside of Halifax. It is also higher among older residents, males and those with higher household incomes.

- PC: 44% (up 2% since Nov.)
- Liberal: 27% (down 1%)
- NDP: 20% (down 4%)
- Green: 6%
- PPC: 1%
- Atlantica Party 1%
Who do Nova Scotians prefer as Premier?
- Tim Houston (PC): 39% – (up 1% since Nov.)
- Next leader of Liberal Party: (17% – down 2% from Iain Rankin)
- Next leader of NDP 13% – (down 3%)
- Anthony Edwards (Green) – 5%
- Jonathan Dean (Antlantica) – 2%
These results are part of Narrative Research’s Atlantic Quarterly, an independent, quarterly telephone survey of Atlantic Canadians, and are drawn from an overall sample of 616 adult Nova Scotians, conducted from February 8-23, 2022, with overall results accurate to within ±3.9 percentage points, 95 out of 100 times.
