Jonathan Torrens Proposes “Huge Dance Party” For NS Grads – The Internet Loves The Idea

In a Twitter post, Jonathan Torrens has proposed to Nova Scotians, “What if when the world re-opens, we throw a huge dance party for all the graduates from all the different schools in Nova Scotia?”

Torrens said “I feel so bad for all the grade 12’s, getting robbed of their prom.”

He tagged Nova Scotia music artist and rapper Classified in the post. Classified replied with “I’m in!!!” and suggested the venue be Halifax’s Scotiabank Centre in a follow up tweet.

The internet has responded with love for the idea. Teachers are even replying saying they would love to chaperone the party.

Parents have also taken to the internet to show their support for the idea and are throwing their hats in the ring to help organize.

Nova Scotia has been practicing social distancing since mid-March and there is no clear end in sight. Regulations have started to be lifted slowly in stages but it’s only the beginning. Every step is being monitored and when it’s safe, the province will move onto the next.

It has been suggested that we won’t be fully open like before until their is a vaccine for COVID-19. We can’t wait to see what happens with this event when restrictions are lifted.
