Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod + Other Canadian Celebs Want To Crash Your Kids Online Classroom

With online learning in full swing across Nova Scotia, some celebrities are making requests for teachers to direct message them a link to their online classroom so they can drop in on their students.

The BodyBreak Duo of Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod tweeted to teachers across Canada to send them their classroom links so they could drop in on their class and give the kids a BodyBreak!

You may remember Johnson and McLeod from their 90 second BodyBreak commercials in the 1990’s and their famous line, “Keep fit and have fun!”

One of Canada’s favourite television teachers was the person who came up with the idea. Mr. D, played by Gerry Dee a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish NS tweeted, “DM me a ZOOM link and a time TODAY & TOMORROW you have a remote class happening & I will jump on and chat to your students. Gives you a little break!”

Later Dee tweeted, “Thanks to all the teachers and students who let me visit their on-line classes,” he wrote in a follow-up. “It was such a pleasure to meet as many of you as I did.”
